A few things to know

Do I need an exchange API key?

No. You can build and backtest a bot without an external key. Virtual trading uses your connected MarginCamp virtual exchange. Binance and Bybit connections are optional and read-only.

Does a safety check guarantee my loss limit?

No. Checks examine the rules and their modeled risk. Gaps, execution delays and unfilled orders can cause a different outcome. Virtual results also do not guarantee future performance.

Can I change a running bot?

Confirmed versions stay unchanged. Save your edits as a new version, review its behavior and complete the checks before starting a new virtual run.

What does the AI do?

In the planned first release, AI interprets your written rules into a draft for you to confirm. It does not choose a strategy, place live orders or change a running bot.
